General F.A.Q.

What are your hours of operation?

Eastside Subaru's sales department is open from 9am to 7pm Monday through Saturday, and 10am to 6pm on Sunday. Our service department is open from 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.

Which Subaru model is best for me?
Excellent question. Make, model, price, mileage, new or pre-owned; all of these factors are determined by your needs. An Outback suitable for road trips is a much different thing than an Impreza perfect for the daily commute. Eastside Subaru prides itself on finding the perfect car for you. View our model showroom.

Do your vehicles come with a warranty?
All new Subaru vehicles come with a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. As one of Eastside Subaru's valued customers, we also offer Extended Service Agreements for an additional cost.

Is maintenance included with my vehicle purchase?
Unfortunately, routine maintenance is not covered by Subaru warranties.

Can I trade in my existing vehicle?

Sales F.A.Q.

How do I buy a car?
New or pre-owned, two options exist when purchasing a vehicle: 

Buying a car outright means paying the entire cost of the vehicle at the time of purchase "in cash" (though most use a check). 

Financing your new ride entails receiving a loan from Eastside Subaru's financing department or other institution (bank, credit union) to pay the cost of the car. You then pay back the loan at an agreed upon annual percentage rate (APR) until the loan is paid and the vehicle is officially yours. 

Eastside Subaru's huge inventory means we have the perfect vehicle for you. Choose from our new inventory or our used inventory.

What about leasing?
A car lease represents an agreement between you and Eastside Subaru that allows you to drive one of our vehicles for a certain amount of time and mileage. Like financing a car, you make monthly payments during this agreement, but with a couple of key differences: 

Your monthly payments are generally lower than when financing a vehicle, which means you will most likely be able to afford a newer or more expensive car, though only new cars are available to lease. At the end of the lease, you can easily replace it with a new vehicle. 

While it may seem like it while driving, the leased vehicle is never truly yours. You must adhere to time and mileage limitations, and be careful to avoid charges for excess wear and tear, though Eastside Subaru offers coverage for the latter.

How much money is due at signing?
That really depends. The basic rule of thumb is this: the more money paid in advance, the less the monthly payment will be. Ron Tonkin Chevrolet's experienced sales and financing staff ask you how much you wish to pay per month and work with you from there. Visit our financing center.

Can I take the car home today?
While we cannot guarantee it, more often than not Eastside Subaru customers receive their keys the same day they purchase their new vehicle.

Is the vehicle I found on your website available?
Very rarely a car pictured on our website has been sold by the time you reach the lot. However, our large inventory means that Eastside Subaru will have an identical or very similar make and model.

What is the total price of the vehicle (taxes and fees included)?
This of course depends on the year, make and model you choose, but at Eastside Subaru, we pride ourselves on providing customers with completely transparent pricing. This means a detailed proposal outlining selling price, trade value, taxes, fees, rebates, money due at signing and monthly payment amounts. Schedule a test drive to get started.
Service F.A.Q.

What work needs to be done?
When you bring your vehicle to Eastside Subaru for service, you will receive a detailed explanation of the work needed on your car, with no technical expertise required. Our service technicians will provide you with a clear and simple description of what - if anything - is wrong and how to fix it. Schedule an appointment today.

How long is my service going to take?
The answer varies depending on the work being done, but at Eastside Subaru, our service estimates are carefully calculated using past experience and a detailed parts availability database. You will never be here longer than necessary.

How much will my service cost?
Like time estimates, it depends on the work being done. However, all service pricing is up front. You will never encounter hidden service fees at Eastside Subaru.

Is my vehicle ready?
Our service department will set up completion notifications to any device you wish. Eastside Subaru can send you messages via email, phone or text to let you know when your vehicle is ready to go.

Are there any recalls on my vehicle?
You can easily find any and all recalls on your vehicle by visiting nhtsa.gov/recalls. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration offers an extensive database of all recalls, searchable by state license plate, VIN number, or year, make and model. Additionally, Eastside Subaru's service scheduler is able to identify any pending recalls with your VIN (vehicle identification number).

Can you recommend parts if I prefer to make repairs on my own?
Yes indeed. Eastside Subaru's service department is happy to recommend specific parts for all jobs, big and small, and will work with you to ensure you get the parts you need. Once you know, or if you already know the parts you need, you can order them here.
